The Bentley R-Type is generally regarded to be one of the most beautiful saloon cars to be built. Perhaps its elegant styling was the direct consequences of earlier bulky bodywork, but whatever the reason, the R-Type’s appearance put Bentley at the top of the prestige car tree once again. Power is by Rolls-Royce's acclaimed 4.5-litre, six-cylinder engine, with inlet-over-exhaust valves. This gives spirited performance, which, married to excellent interior insulation, makes the car a quiet cruiser.
Presented in Silver with Red Leather Seats and Foot Rests, Walnut Picnic Tables on the back of the front seats and Illuminated Vanity Mirrors. It has a Radio, the Original toolkit and a plug in torch under the bonnet. The Bentley S1 is a luxury car produced by Bentley Motors Ltd from 1955 until 1959. It was Bentley’s (and Rolls-Royce) first true complete redesign of their standard production car after World War II.
Our Bentley S1 is finished in Silver with Red leather interior in excellent, refurbished condition. The interior trim is veneered walnut including rear picnic tables, door cappings, dashboard, and mirror surrounds. This Bentley S1 differs only in its radiator grille shape and badging from the Rolls Silver Cloud. The S-Type Bentley is powered by the company's 4.9-litre smooth six-cylinder unit. Its first owner was the British High Commissioner in the USA thus it spent its early life in Washington. The car runs beautifully and conveys its occupants in an ambience of comfort and quiet. The first owner of this car was the British Ambassador to the USA. It spent it's formative years in Miami and Washington. The S1 will carry 5 Passengers comfortably.
